- New Free and Reduced Price Policy (2023-2024)
August 1, 2023 Seneca R-7 School District announced its revised free and reduced price policy for school children unable to pay the full price of meals served in schools under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. Local education officials have adopted the following family-size income criteria for determining eligibility: (see downloadable PDF attached to this article for more eligibility information) Children from families whose current income is at or below those shown on the PDF are eligible for free or reduced price meals. Applications are available at the school office. To apply, fill out a Free and Reduced Price School Meals Family Application and return it to the school. The information provided on the application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of determining eligibility. Applications may be submitted any time during the school year. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Activities, sports, and summer camps take the place of school days. Your kids sleep schedules undoubtably shift later bedtimes and the opportunity to sleep in. Maybe you're planning to finally take that family getaway? One routine that doesn't need to change is your child's access to regular, healthy meals. Help us spread the word that when school's out, free summer meals for kids are in! That's right, our school is one of many schools and nonprofit organizations nationwide providing free summer meals to all kids 18 and under throughout the summer The USDA funds these meals to ensure kids and teens have access to meals during June, July, and August at no charge to families regardless of income. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW? • No application or proof of income necessary. • Free for all kids and teens 18 and under. • Simply show up at our location during our site's hours of operation for a free meal.
