Seneca High School is preparing to welcome students and families back for the 2026-2027 school year! Several important events are scheduled throughout August, including schedule pickup, freshman orientation, Tribe Night, Open House, parent meetings, and the first day of school.

Important August Dates
Monday, August 3
High School Office Opens
Office staff will return and the Seneca High School office will reopen for the new school year.
Sunday, August 9
High School Fall Sports Parent Meeting
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: SHS Main Gym
Monday, August 10
Fall Sports Practices Begin
Practice schedules and additional information will be provided by each team’s coach.
Saturday, August 15
Tribe Night
Time: 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Location: SHS Main Gym and Football Field
Students, families, and community members are invited to help us celebrate the beginning of another exciting school year.
Tuesday, August 18
Senior Schedule Pickup
Time: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: SHS Office
Seniors must provide proof that their senior pictures have been taken.
Wednesday, August 19
Junior Schedule Pickup
Time: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: SHS Office
Sophomore Schedule Pickup
Time: 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Location: SHS Office
Thursday, August 20
Freshman Orientation and Schedule Pickup
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Seneca High School
Freshman parent meeting: Main Gym
Freshman student orientation: Old Gym
Freshman parents may attend an informational meeting at either 9:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. The meeting will provide information about high school, schedule pickup, and Chromebook checkout.
Open House
Time: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Freshman parent meeting: 6:00 p.m. in the Main Gym
Softball Jamboree

Football Jamboree
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Webb City
Tuesday, August 25
First Day of School
School hours: 7:45 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
Volleyball Jamboree
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Cassville
Wednesday, August 26
Senior Parent Meeting
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Seneca High School
This informational meeting will cover important details about the senior year.
Schedule Change Information
Schedule change requests require a completed form signed by a parent or guardian. Only one schedule change form is allowed per semester.
Because class sizes may limit availability, requested changes cannot be guaranteed. However, school staff will make every effort to accommodate students when possible.
Students in grades 9 and 10:
Forms may be picked up on the first day of school.
All schedule change requests must be submitted by Friday, August 28.
Changes may not be made after the deadline.
Students in grades 11 and 12:
Forms may be picked up after students receive their schedules.
Forms will not be available on Thursday, August 20.

Fines and Fees
Families may pay outstanding fines and fees ahead of time. Taking care of these balances early will help make schedule pickup and Chromebook checkout faster and more convenient.
