This program helps us better support the health of our students and staff by making access to medical care more convenient during the school day. The purpose of the Telemedicine program is to help students receive timely care when they are not feeling well, while also helping them stay healthy and in school whenever possible. When a student becomes ill at school and needs medical attention, the school nurse can assist with setting up a Telemedicine visit from the nurse’s office with a qualified Freeman healthcare provider. Parents and guardians may also take part in the appointment virtually through a secure link using a cell phone, computer, or other smart device. This allows parents to see and hear the visit, communicate with the medical provider, and stay involved while the school nurse assists the student in person. The result is a more connected and supportive healthcare experience for the student, family, nurse, and provider. We know how important it is for families to stay informed and involved when it comes to their child’s health. Additional information about Telemedicine and how the program works is available through the links below. These resources explain the benefits of Telemedicine and how it can help support a healthier school environment. At Seneca School District, the health and well-being of our students and staff remain a priority. Through Telemedicine services, we are able to provide accessible, timely, and convenient healthcare support for our school community.

District Calendar Food Menus Parents As Teachers Missouri's Parent Education Program is a voluntary parent education program serving families who are expecting a child or have children under the age of kindergarten entry. Missouri's Parent Education Program helps to establish positive partnerships between home, school and the community and plays a vital role in supporting families and children from the very beginning toward school readiness. A trained parent educator provides home visits with families to promote early learning, knowledge and understanding of important developmental milestones. Periodic screenings increase parents’ understanding of their children’s developmental progress, as well as inform them of any possible delays. Early intervention for identified concerns helps improve school readiness for young children. Family personal visits are provided by a trained parent educator who will partner with the family to support and promote the child’s development through individualized activities that will prepare the child for future success in school and life. Developmental screenings provide information on the individual growth and development of the child as well as health, hearing, vision and dental checks. Annual developmental screenings can support continued growth and identify potential delays or concerns. Group connections allow for parent-child interactions, increase knowledge of ways to support child development and provide an opportunity to practice parenting skills in a group setting. Resource networks provide families with connections to information and services available in the community to support them.
