SHS Receives Awards at Local Marching Festival

The Seneca Indians Marching Band performed this weekend at the Branson Marching Festival in Branson, MO. During the prelims show, the band won 1st place in their division, and was also awarded honors for best music, best visual effect, best color guard and best percussion. Later in the evening, the band competed in the finals show and ended up placing 8th. Congratulations to all the members and good luck next week as they perform in Carthage at the Maple Leaf Festival!

School Board Declaration of Candidacy
The Seneca R-7 School District will accept Declaration for Candidacy for any persons interested in running for a position on the School Board in the April 7th, 2020 general election. Persons interested may file at the school district’s office located at 914 Frisco Street, Seneca MO. Filing will begin on December 17, 2019 at 8:00 A.M. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. There are three positions open; each is a 3 year-term. Filing will end on January 21, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. The district office will be closed from December 23rd, 2019 through January 6, 2020. No candidate filings will be accepted during that time. Filings will also not occur on days the school is closed for inclement weather.
